Editorial Process

Arts Appreciation follows a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, originality, and academic integrity of all published articles. The journal is committed to maintaining high scholarly standards while fostering interdisciplinary dialogue in the fields of art, culture, aesthetics, media, and related disciplines.

Initial Submission Screening

All submitted manuscripts are first evaluated by the editorial office to determine whether they fit the journal’s aims and scope and comply with submission requirements, ethical standards, and academic quality expectations. Manuscripts that do not meet the journal’s basic criteria may be returned to authors without external review.

Double-Blind Peer Review

Arts Appreciation adopts a strict double-blind peer review process to ensure fairness, academic integrity, and high scholarly standards. In this process, the identities of both authors and reviewers remain anonymous throughout the review procedure.

After passing the initial editorial screening, each manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent experts in the relevant field. Reviewers evaluate submissions based on originality, academic contribution, methodological rigor, clarity of presentation, relevance to the journal’s scope, and significance to contemporary artistic and cultural discourse.

If the reviewers’ recommendations differ significantly, the editorial office may invite an additional reviewer to provide further evaluation before a final decision is made.

Editorial Decision

Based on reviewers’ comments and recommendations, the editorial team will make one of the following decisions:

Accept Submission

  • Revisions Required
  • Resubmit for Review
  • Decline Submission

Authors receiving revision requests are expected to revise and resubmit their manuscripts within the specified timeframe. Revised manuscripts may be returned to reviewers for further evaluation when necessary.

The final editorial decision is made by the Editor-in-Chief or assigned editors based on reviewers’ reports, academic quality, and the journal’s editorial standards.

Ethical Standards

Arts Appreciation strictly opposes plagiarism, data fabrication, duplicate submission, and other forms of academic misconduct. All submissions may undergo plagiarism detection screening prior to publication. Authors are responsible for ensuring the originality and authenticity of their work.

Final Publication

Accepted manuscripts will proceed through copyediting, layout editing, proofreading, and final publication. The journal publishes articles online to ensure timely academic dissemination and international accessibility.
